Internet Radio, Who Needs MP3’s?

Do you listen to music? well you probably listen to mostly songs you have downloaded, which I think give you no surprise in what you listen to. If you like to listen to new music for free while on your PC internet radio is great. And if you already have Windows Media Player there is no need to download anything extra (although having Winamp doesn’t hurt). Most of these stations have much less ads then local radio stations. There are thousands of net stations to tune into but you will only want to listen to some of these few.

977music Hitz [tune in (hitz)] 977 Music Hitz plays mostly top 40. Their Hitz station is my person favorite because it plays older songs with new music, in my opinion this is the only station you need.

977music 80’s [tune in] If you were a fan of the music in Vice City then you will enjoy this station.

Hot 108 Jamz [tune in] Plays only rap/hip-hop so if you like rap this station is for you.

[Winamp Stations] If you use Winamp (you probably already know) you can easily browse stations for Winamp.

If you notice the extensions on files .pls is for Winamp and .asx is for Windows Media Player.

Use ScribeFire to Publish Your Blog

ScribeFire is a Add-on for Firefox (which everyone should be using) which allows you to post directly to a blog from Firefox. The best part about it is that it just doesn’t publish to only wordpress.com, livejournal.com or blogger.com, you can do a blog on your site that is made from Wordpress, Drupal, Movable Type, and More. It’s useful for reading news from other sources and writing about it. After using it for about 10 minutes it has good impression from me… but one draw back is that you can’t upload images from the add-on.

ScribeFire (previously Performancing for Firefox) is a full-featured blog editor that integrates with your browser and lets you easily post to your blog. You can drag and drop formatted text from pages you are browsing, take notes, and post to your blog.

[Download it here]

Edit: Just noticed that it adds a “powered by Scribefire” below posts, which isn’t cool. What ever happen to quite dignity.

Speed Up Your Photoshop!

Photoshop slowing down on you? Well here are some tweaks to speed it up.

  • Close panels that are unnecessary and do not use, such as style and color selection.
  • Go to preferences and turn memory usage on 60%-65% no mater how much RAM you have.
  • Again in prefernces turn the export clipboard off (you won’t be able to paste to a program from PS).
  • Drag and Drop files into Photoshop, don’t use the clipboard… it uses more RAM.

Did this speed up your Photoshop? We didn’t notice much difference but tell us what you think!

A new Manhunt 2 trailer (trailer #3) has been released and the game looks crazy. From being rated Adult Only in the summer and now turning into a Mature game, this could become one of the most violent games ever. I can’t wait to see how they use the controls of the Wii. It is going to be available on Halloween which is a perfect date for the psychotic game.

Portal GOTY?

Well, lately I’ve been noticing all the fanboys talking about how their game is going to win the Game of the Year award. This of course is natural, seeing how that November( aka gaming month) is only a couple days away. So, I have seen people say that Bioshock,Galaxy, Halo 3, and Mass effect are going to win GOTY, but it got me thinking what about Portal? Now I know the game is short, and it comes as a pack in with Half-Life 2 and Team Fortress, but I have yet to see one person who didn’t love portal.

Now as much as I like Portal, I still think it has many contenders for GOTY. I’m not stupid. and I doubt that any serious gaming editorial publications(such as Gamespot, and IGN) are going to give Portal the Game of the Year award because it’s not a stand alone game. Though with that said, Portal is one of the most refreshing games I have played in recent memory.

If you don’t have the Orange Box, I recommend that you play the flash version on our website.

Arcade

Right now in the arcade we have 140+ games… but we need more! Well thats what it appears, everyone seems to have played every game enough (except helicopter game). Right now 50% of people that come to the site are returning, so we need new games to entertain! Just let us know if you find a good game and we will post it.

Great Wordpress Theme Site

Wordpress theme site

While searching to find (this theme) I found a great site for Wordpress themes. Instead of going through pages it’s just one page full of theme thumbnails. It’s great if you are looking for a design for your wordpress blog. If you need “search” with your theme viewer just try the official theme browser from wordpress.
